Remove the Limescale

White Vinegar is going to be your best friend if you want to effectively tackle a dirty bathroom! Get rid of dried deposits around your bathroom taps by soaking a simple kitchen cloth with white vinegar and wrap it around the tap. Leave overnight and rinse thoroughly with warm soapy water. If there are any stubborn deposits, remove them with a toothbrush.

Get Your Showerhead Sparking

Pour white vinegar into a sandwich bag, alongside your unscrewed showerhead, and make sure the head is fully submerged in the vinegar.

Leave it to soak for at least an hour to work its magic, remove it from the bag, and spray down your showerhead with your favourite disinfectant. Finally, blast your shower at a hot temperature to get rid of any excess residue!

Clean Out That Drain

We’re going to rely on another household item here to help us clean our drains properly! Baking soda does wonders for your drain when mixed with…yep, you guessed it, white vinegar!

Firstly, remove anything that’s physically blocking the drain, like hair. Remove any initial debris with your fingers, then use a drain snake to pull blockages out.

Blast any remaining dirt by pouring baking soda down the drain, followed swiftly with distilled white vinegar. The combination will create a fizzing action that will work away at grime. Leave for at least 20 minutes, then pour your favourite scented concentrated disinfectant alongside boiling water to flush the mixture away.

Shine Those Taps

Bathroom fixtures can soon look tarnished after much wear and tear. Make them shine again with a paste of bicarbonate of soda and lemon juice. Lightly scrub the fixtures, leave for a few minutes and then buff with a clean cloth…voila! Like brand new!

Don't Forget The Walls and Floor

Our bathroom walls can contain the residue steam and grime from showers and baths. Which can cause the tiles to lose the shine, we all so love! So don’t forget to clean your bathroom walls by wiping them down with an all-purpose cleaning product. An extendable mop or window cleaner is the right choice for reaching up high and should help to speed up the process.

Mirror Mirror on The Wall

Let’s face it, mirrors are a pain to keep streak-free! Our top tip is to make use of a microfibre cloth or newspaper, while cleaning with your favourite glass cleaner. You can also remove stubborn stains by wiping with a little surgical spirit on your microfibre cloth.

To keep mirrors steam-free, apply a little shaving foam evenly across the surface. Wipe away and buff with a microfibre cloth. Your mirror will stay fog-free for weeks, it’s as easy at that!

Keep That Toothbrush Clean

Your toothbrush picks up thousands of germs and bacteria, even after just 1 use! To clean it, and kill all bacteria, soak it in several tablespoons of white vinegar and leave to rest for 30 minutes. Rinse, and use as normal. We recommend doing this every other week.
